Graduate Education Application Requirements
The application process for international students, along with application conditions, required documents, and approval steps, is detailed below.
Application Submission:
Applications must be submitted through the BOS system within the announced application dates.
Application Methods:
Applications sent via email or post will not be accepted.
Program Prerequisites:
The BOS system specifies program-specific prerequisites for candidates.
References for Master's and Doctoral Programs:
Advisor Approval:
Candidates must obtain an advisor’s invitation and approval from the relevant department/program to finalize their application.
Reference and Invitation via BOS:
Reference and advisor invitation approvals must be processed through the BOS system only.
Incomplete Applications:
Applications that are not approved through BOS will not be evaluated.
Accuracy of Information:
If any information or documents provided are inaccurate or incomplete, the candidate will be dismissed from the program, even if initially accepted.
Entrance Exam Requirements:
For each application period, the Institute Administrative Board determines acceptable national/international exam results (e.g., ALES) or their equivalents as recognized by the Council of Higher Education.
Foreign Language Requirements for Master’s Degree:
The foreign language requirement is set by the Graduate School Administrative Board with recommendations from the respective department/program committee.
Foreign Language Requirements for Doctoral Programs:
Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 55 in a foreign language exam accepted by YÖK or an equivalent score from ÖSYM-approved exams (excluding their native language). This minimum score may be increased based on the department’s recommendation and the Institute Administrative Board's approval.
